As the offspring of a high-elf and a dwarf, the dwelf is a misbegotten creature. Like a half-elf, they are mistreated by the elven community, typically much more so than a half-elf. Dwelves are one of the rarest races seen today next to half-orcs. All dwelves born in the elven cities are banished from their homelands, typically moving to a more accepting human society. However dwelves that were born in dwarvish land were slightly accepted more, however many dwarves still have a tendency to treat them with moderate prejudice. Dwelves are rarely seen today in Barkamsted, and are the minority of all other races in the city.
Dwelves typically grow to be 3 to 4 feet tall, and have a rather lean stature, rarely is there a fat dwelf. They always have the pointed ears of an elf and are unable to grow any form of facial hair. A dwelf, much like a high-elf, lacks any real muscle structure and are usually very weak. Dwelves have very normal looking skin that is normally the same tone of a humans. Their eyes and hair color also seem to be like that of a human. Typically speaking they are naturally of peaceful nature and are rarely seen in any form of combat situation, they are also quite well known for their massive appetites, being able to eat twice as much as a normal human would in one sitting. They seem to have the same magical capabilities as a high-elf, with 80% of all dwelves having magic potential. Dwelves seem to live anywhere between 200 to 300 years old.
Additional Notes: Dwelves, being very small in stature and quite light on their feet, make excellent scouts. Also, dark-elven dwelves do not exist, due to genetic incompatibility between dark-elves and dwarves.
Dwelves being a minority race that has no goverment or cities for itself does not have a set religion. Though it seems most dwelves, much like their Dwarven and Elven ascendants, worship the god Kinos, father of the earth and seas. Aside from this there is no other religion worshiped by the majority of this people, most pick and choose what gods fit their desires.
